Travog has partnered with Mastercard to launch the Travog travel and expense card, a payment solution designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) manage business travel spending more efficiently.

Integrated with Travog’s travel and expense management platform, the card brings booking information, payment transactions, approval workflows and expense reporting into a single environment. The initiative aims to reduce the administrative burden of managing business travel across disconnected systems while improving visibility into expenditure.

For many organisations, corporate travel costs are spread across booking platforms, card statements, reimbursement claims and internal approval processes. This fragmentation can make it difficult for finance teams to monitor spending in real time, enforce travel policies and reconcile expenses promptly.

The new card is designed to connect payment activity directly with travel bookings and expense workflows. Employees can use it for approved business travel expenses, while companies can establish spending limits, apply policy rules and manage approvals before and during trips.

“Business travel payments should be simple for employees and transparent for finance teams,” said Gaurav Chiripal, CEO of Travog. He said the collaboration would bring payment, policy and travel data together, enabling organisations to manage expenditure as it occurs rather than waiting until trips are completed.

Omoke Adebanjo, Mastercard’s senior vice-president for Merchants and Commerce in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EEMEA), said businesses increasingly require greater visibility, control and efficiency across transactions. Combining Mastercard’s payment capabilities with Travog’s integrated platform, she added, is intended to support a more seamless, secure and data-driven approach to expense management.

For corporate travel managers and finance departments, the integration is expected to simplify reconciliation by bringing card transactions, booking records and expense claims together. It could also help organisations identify policy exceptions earlier, reduce manual follow-ups and improve the accuracy of travel expenditure reporting.

The card extends Travog’s existing offering, which includes self-service travel booking, expense management, approval workflows, policy compliance, reimbursements, dashboards and analytics. The platform is designed to support organisations across the Asia-Pacific region and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

By integrating payments into its broader travel management ecosystem, Travog aims to help businesses move away from fragmented expense processes towards a more connected approach to corporate travel spending.
