Connectivity between India and Europe is set to improve as two European carriers have launched flights between Delhi and Milan in Italy and Reykjavik in Iceland. While Air Italy has launched flights to connect Delhi and Mumbai to Milan, Iceland-based WOW air has launched flights between Delhi and Iceland’s capital city of Reykjavik.

“From Reykjavik, WOW air passengers can take connecting flights to about 13 destinations to the US and Canada,” said Kiran Jain, managing director of WOW air. WOW air serves a number of destinations including Chicago, Orlando, New York, Detroit, Baltimore, Boston, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles and Washington DC in the US, and Toronto and Montreal in Canada.

Meanwhile, Air Italy said recently that the carrier is discussing a interline agreement with Vistara to feed its flights to Italy from Delhi and Mumbai. “We are in the final stages of discussions with Vistara for an interline agreement, which will provide us connectivity to other cities in the country,” Rossen Dimitrov, chief operating officer, Air Italy informed.
