Cutting down on dependency on third party sources, Apple Maps will soon be posting recommendations

Here’s some good news for all Apple users. The iOS company has notched up their game and is all set to introduce a new feature in their imaps which will now recommend places and restaurants to users.

Along with showing accurate roads and navigation facilities, Apple Maps will also be able to generate firsthand recommendations and editorials on restaurants and places around you so you get the local vibe.

Till now, Apple had to rely on secondary sources like Yelp and other user-generated recommendations. Android users who used Google Maps have been availing such features for a while now and users can find places that interest them through their Local Guides feature.

But now, with curated details, Apple is all ready to narrow the gap and give their users high tech and smooth navigating options.
