The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has unveiled its highly anticipated summer programme for 2024, igniting excitement with the theme “Saudi Summer is Next Door.” Running for an extensive four-month period until September’s end, this initiative spans seven captivating destinations and boasts a diverse array of over 550 tourism products and 150 exclusive offers and packages meticulously designed for families and children.

Catering to various market segments, including adventure enthusiasts, luxury seekers, and culture aficionados, the programme, orchestrated by the STA, was inaugurated by His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The seven featured destinations encompass Aseer, Al Baha, Taif, the newly introduced Red Sea, Jeddah, Riyadh, and AlUla. This year’s iteration promises the resurgence of the Jeddah Season and the debut of the Aseer Season, both teeming with a plethora of family-centric activities and events.

Highlighting the global prominence of Saudi tourism trends, Minister Al Khateeb underscored the Kingdom’s exponential growth in the sector, culminating in record-breaking tourist influxes, propelling Saudi Arabia to the zenith of the UN World Tourism List and the G20 nations list.

In his address, Minister Al Khateeb emphasized, “Saudi Arabia is undergoing a transformative era in tourism, driven by our vision to establish the Kingdom as a premier global destination. The Saudi Summer Programme 2024 epitomizes our dedication to showcasing Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural heritage, natural splendor, and unparalleled hospitality.”

Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO and Board Member of the Saudi Tourism Authority, echoed this sentiment, stating, “Through the promotional campaign for the Saudi Summer Programme 2024, we aim to accentuate the distinctiveness of our destinations, encompassing their climatic, natural, and cultural diversity, alongside the myriad exceptional events and activities slated for the summer.”

The campaign’s tagline, “Saudi Summer is Next Door,” serves as an inclusive invitation to explore the enchantment of Saudi destinations and their multifaceted allure. This diversity is encapsulated through succinct descriptors such as “Closer,” “Cooler,” “More Beautiful,” and “More Affordable,” underscoring each locale’s unique appeal.

Recognizing the pivotal role of the private sector in bolstering tourism initiatives, the Saudi Tourism Authority is committed to empowering its partners by fostering demand for products and offerings tailored to the aspirations of global tourists.
