The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi partners with Erth Hospitality to elevate culinary education

The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has unveiled an exciting partnership with Erth Hospitality, set to launch École Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio this December. This upcoming culinary institute marks the region’s first association with École Ducasse, founded by renowned chef Alain Ducasse.

Situated at Abu Dhabi’s Cultural Foundation, École Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio will occupy a central location in the heart of the city. The studio aims to enhance the culinary education landscape in the UAE, offering short and professional classes in a contemporary and welcoming environment equipped with professional-grade tools. With a focus on personalised attention, classes will have a limited number of students, providing an ideal setting for clients and learners to hone their skills. The studio will also feature a gourmet café and accommodate corporate events.

École Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio will offer diverse classes and courses catering to individuals of all skill levels, from aspiring culinary enthusiasts to professionals looking to broaden their expertise. Course themes will span from “First cooking lesson—learning to cook without inhibition” to “Famous Parisian Macarons Madness Class.”

Nestled within the historic Al Hosn site, École Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio spans 418 square meters. The studio boasts a spacious classroom area, a fully equipped workshop show kitchen, a bespoke chef’s table, and a sizable outdoor terrace offering panoramic views of the Abu Dhabi skyline.

Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The arrival of École Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio will transform the culinary sector while greatly contributing to the growth of the hospitality industry in the region.” This announcement follows the launch of an AED 360 million culinary sector acceleration programme earlier this year, aimed at attracting leading brands to the UAE capital over five years and solidifying Abu Dhabi’s status as a gastronomical hub.

Erth Hospitality will be the partner for the renowned culinary school École Ducasse, bringing over 25 years of expertise and passion for the hospitality industry to this exciting venture.

Shaikha Al Kaabi, Chief Executive Officer of Erth Hospitality, emphasised the significance of this partnership for Abu Dhabi, saying, “This collaboration not only solidifies our commitment to fostering culinary brilliance but also reaffirms Abu Dhabi’s status as a burgeoning culinary hub, ready to host and inspire talents from Emiratis and beyond.”

Chef Alain Ducasse, with an impressive 20 Michelin stars to his name, is recognised as Michelin’s most decorated chef of all time. He launched his first culinary and pastry school in 1999 and has since established globally recognised institutes in India, the Philippines, and Thailand. The launch of École Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio in partnership with Erth Hospitality marks a significant milestone, elevating the local culinary scene and welcoming an institution dedicated to gastronomic innovation and excellence.

École Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio will promote culinary excellence, innovation, and cultural exchange in Abu Dhabi, a diverse emirate boasting a population of over 200 nationalities.
