Genting Hong Kong appoints Cruise Club as PSA in India

Genting Hong Kong has appointed Cruise Club as its Preferred Sales Agent (PSA) in the Indian market with effect from January 1, 2016. With this development Cruise Club is the 12th PSA in India for Genting Hong Kong cruise brands.
“Cruise Club is a specialist with awareness about a plethora of cruise brands, and that is the kind of agent we were looking for. They are very technology-friendly and we can invade into a new space which the existing distribution partners are not able to provide with online bookings and use technology to showcase a cruise experience,” said Naresh Rawal, VP – Sales, Star Cruises on the side lines of GPS 2016 in Nagpur.
It is almost after 5 years that Genting Hong Kong appointed a PSA in India. Since Cruise Club was already a PSA for Crystal Cruises before Genting Hong Kong acquired the brand, it will continue to do so along with selling Dream Cruises and Star Cruises. Currently, Cruise Club is the only PSA for Crystal Cruises in the Indian market.
Throwing light on the development, Kiran Bhandari, Co-founder, Cruise Club, shared, “The opportunities for cruising are immense with huge potential in Tier-II markets. Cruise Club being a technology-driven company, our website provides comprehensive information about cruises. We are leveraging technology to sell cruises and have launched virtual reality to communicate the cruising experience. The challenge with this appointment will be making people aware of the cruising experience and the luxury it offers.”
Additionally, Cruise Club has now expanded its presence to 3 more cities in India besides Pune and Mumbai. “With the potential that Tier-II cities offer and a portfolio of 25 brands in our fold, it was time to create a national presence. Therefore in the past 3 months, our sales teams have been expanded to the cities of Delhi, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru,” added Bhandari. This year, Cruise Club is participating in trade shows namely GPS, IITT, SATTE and OTR.
