Hyatt Regency Dehradun Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Debabrata Banerjee as its new Director of Food and Beverage, marking an exciting chapter in the resort’s pursuit of culinary excellence. With over 17 years of leadership in the international hospitality industry, Banerjee steps into the role with a wealth of experience and a passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Banerjee’s career spans some of the world’s most prestigious hospitality brands, including Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai, The Oberoi Bangalore, Alila Diwa Goa, Park Hyatt Zanzibar, and Park Hyatt St. Kitts. His professional journey began in 2008, and since then, he has held pivotal roles that refined his expertise in restaurant operations, team development, event execution, and vendor management across diverse cultural landscapes—from India to Africa and the Caribbean.

Among his most notable achievements is the launch of a full-fledged inflight catering division at Park Hyatt Zanzibar. Built from the ground up, the facility delivers over 500 high-quality airline-standard meals daily—a testament to Banerjee’s strategic innovation and operational acumen.

In his new role at Hyatt Regency Dehradun, Banerjee will oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bar services, in-room dining, and curated event catering. His appointment is poised to enrich the resort’s already distinguished culinary offerings with globally inspired techniques and locally rooted flavors.

“The food and beverage sector never stops evolving, and that’s exactly what energizes me,” said Banerjee. “At Hyatt Regency Dehradun Resort & Spa, I’m focused on crafting dining experiences that surprise and delight—blending global insights with the rich culinary heritage of Uttarakhand.”

Banerjee also emphasizes sustainability in his vision, aiming to integrate Hyatt’s global green initiatives with regionally sourced ingredients to reduce environmental impact while celebrating local produce and culinary traditions.

His strategy includes rolling out unique dining concepts, strengthening supplier relationships, and implementing systems that balance innovation with operational efficiency.

With Banerjee at the helm, Hyatt Regency Dehradun is set to elevate its food and beverage standards even further—delivering inspired dining experiences that reflect both global excellence and local soul.
