IHCL has announced the signing of a new resort in Mangalore, Karnataka, marking its expansion into significant leisure destinations. This project, branded under Taj, underscores the company’s strategic growth initiative.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO of IHCL, highlighted Mangalore’s cultural richness, coastal location, and growing tourism sector as ideal for a Taj-branded hotel. The signing aligns with IHCL’s vision to strengthen its presence in thriving markets.
Nestled amidst expansive landscapes, Taj Resort & Spa, Mangalore, will feature 96 elegantly designed rooms and suites offering panoramic views of lush plantations and orchards. Dining options include an all-day diner, a bar, a specialty restaurant, and a serene lobby lounge. Unique amenities such as the Viewing Deck, acclaimed for its architectural distinction, complement facilities like the J Wellness Circle and an open-air theatre. The resort’s expansive banqueting space underscores its appeal for social events and weddings.
With this addition, IHCL expands its presence in Karnataka to 20 hotels under various brands, including Taj, Vivanta, Gateway, and Ginger, with six properties under development.
