Flights are expected to commence from October 29, 2023
IndiGo has decided to introduce daily flights between Jaipur and Agra, starting on October 29, 2023. While the airline touts this move as a convenience for travellers, the introduction of these flights claims to provide increased connectivity between the two cities, serving the interests of both business and leisure travelers.
IndiGo’s decision to add this route comes conveniently on the heels of the Uttar Pradesh government’s efforts to bolster Agra’s connectivity and expand its airport infrastructure. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, stated, “We are announcing operations between Jaipur and Agra, two cities steeped in culture, as another step towards our goal of enhancing regional connectivity.”
Both cities are part of India’s Golden Triangle, drawing local and international tourists. The new flight aims to enhance regional connectivity and provide an affordable flying experience. Rajasthan attracts numerous tourists during the winter season, while Jaipur, often referred to as the “Pink City of India,” is famous for its historical architecture and textiles.
