IndiGo marks a century million passengers in 2023

In a significant aviation milestone, IndiGo has capped off 2023 by becoming the first in the country to carry a staggering 100 million passengers. Flying over 104 million passengers throughout the year, more than 90 million travelled on domestic routes, while 14.2 million ventured across borders to international destinations.

IndiGo’s commitment to expanding its horizons is evident in the addition of 17 new destinations in 2023. From Tashkent and Baku to the Gondia and Jaisalmer within India, the airline has not only increased its footprint but also welcomed over 1.2 million passengers on its inaugural flights.

The airline encompasses diverse demographics. Catering to the travel needs of 1.38 million students, 1.75 million senior citizens, and a remarkable 1.03 million infants, IndiGo has played a pivotal role in connecting generations and fostering travel accessibility.

With 73,577 takeoffs from Delhi, the airline dominated the domestic front, while internationally, Dubai witnessed 5,469 takeoffs.
