Madhya Pradesh Tourism wins ‘Three National Tourism Awards’

mpThe prestigious National Tourism Awards ceremony was held in the presence of Hon’ble Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Shri Shashi Tharoor on 18 February 2014 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh was conferred three National Tourism Awards in the following categories: Best State, Award for Best Tourism Film-‘Malang Hai’ and Award for Best Civic Management of  a Tourism Destination in India –Pachmarhi region. Minister for Tourism, Shri Surendra Patwa and Managing Director of M.P Tourism, Mr. Raghwendra Kumar Singh received these awards. Winning the title of ‘Best State’ wasn’t an easy task. With various stringent efforts and consistent works only, the State could comfortably surpass every other State as far as its performance in various aspects related to tourism is concerned, and it has touched new heights !

With over a dozen ISO certifications and seven of its properties acquiring 3 star/ heritage status, vigorous expansions, improvements, innovations, new services and corporate culture, it is easily the foremost Tourism Corporation in the country. The highly popular film’ Rang Hai’, is the outcome of strenuous efforts of ‘Ogilvy & Mather’. The film reveals the unmatched diverse experiences, the State offers to its visitors in the form of culture, religion and history. Truly dedicated to the overall development of the city, the Municipal Council of Pachmarhi and the Cantonment Board has exceeded the established standards of the performance of a normal body with active participation of local community and civic bodies. These bodies have intermittently taken focused initiatives for the improvement and development of Pachmarhi. The Council/ Board have left no stone unturned to serve city and its people in better way. They are not only generating awareness to keep the city clean and green but at the same time creating a high level of awareness about eco-preservation amongst the general masses.
