Mr. P.B. Nooh has been appointed the new Kerala Tourism Director, replacing Mr. V. R. Krishna Teja Mylavarapu. Mr. Nooh, a 2018-batch IAS officer, will hold the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, LIFE Mission.
Mr. Teja has been posted as Director, Scheduled Castes Development Department. During the time of Mr. Teja, Kerala Tourism launched several projects, including Keravan Kerala, Destination Challenge, and Loka Pookkalam.
Mr. Nooh won many hearts when he was the District Collector of Pathanamthitta. His work during the two floods as well as the COVID-19 pandemic remains notable. A native of Perumbavoor in Ernakulam district, he completed his graduation from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru. He was ranked 48 in the Civil Services examination in the year 2012.
