Plaza Premium Group has opened two new lounges at KL International airport, as the firms gears up to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
The Plaza Premium Lounge and Plaza Premium First facilities are located in the airport’s Terminal 1, and feature works by local Malaysian artists.
Guests at the Plaza Premium Lounge can choose from a buffet dining menu, while those visiting the Plaza Premium First space will be offered an a la carte menu, with dishes including Nasi Lemak with Australian beef rendang.
Both lounges have access to shower facilities, and there are different zones for relaxation, dining and working.
Guests are greeted by a mural at the entrance to the lounges showcasing Malaysia’s past, present and future, and a centrepiece rainforest tree has been inspired by the natural landscape of Malaysia.
Opening rates for the new lounges (valid until June 30, 2023) are from RM202 (£38) for a two-hour visit to the Plaza Premium First space, and RM146 (£27) for a two-hour visit to the Plaza Premium Lounge.
The new lounges join recently opened Plaza Premium facilities at Adelaide, Bengaluru, Cebu, Dubai, Florida and Hong Kong, with the brand also set to open at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International airport later this year.
Commenting on the news Song Hoi-See, CEO and Founder of Plaza Premium Group, said:
“We founded the independent lounge concept 25 years ago in Malaysia, as a part of our 25th anniversary celebration, after expanding our concept into over 70 international airports, we come back to our roots and revisit the whole lounge experience.
“The launch of this venue is a testament to the plans that Plaza Premium Group has in store for our growth in 2023 and beyond.
“We are committed to “Make Travel Better”. Our goal is to transform Plaza Premium Lounge into not just a pre-flight space but a destination in its own right from one country to another.
“In this case we are bringing Malaysian culture to the forefront, where guests can visit us and uncover something new each time.”
