Navigator of the Seas will operate 2- to 5-night cruises across Southeast Asia, expanding fly-and-cruise options for Indian travellers

Royal Caribbean International will establish Singapore as a year-round homeport for Navigator of the Seas from October 2026, expanding its cruise programme in Southeast Asia and offering Indian travellers more opportunities to combine flights to Singapore with regional cruises.

The ship will operate 2- to 5-night itineraries from Singapore, with sailings calling at destinations in Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand. Port calls will include Penang, Port Klang for Kuala Lumpur and Phuket.

The expanded deployment is expected to provide greater flexibility for travellers planning cruise holidays around school vacations, public holidays and long weekends.

Singapore strengthens its role as cruise gateway

The year-round deployment will strengthen Singapore’s position as a key cruise gateway for the wider Asia-Pacific region. For Indian travellers, the programme offers a relatively accessible fly-and-cruise option, allowing them to use Singapore as both an international aviation hub and a starting point for Southeast Asian cruise itineraries.

The programme will also feature longer voyages, including a 12-night sailing from Tokyo to Singapore, adding a regional option for travellers looking for an extended cruise experience.

Varun Chadha, CEO of Tirun Travel Marketing, Royal Caribbean Cruises’ exclusive representative in India, said the extended deployment represented a significant development for the Asian cruise market.

Singapore has consistently been one of the most preferred cruise gateways for our guests, and a year-round deployment gives travellers greater flexibility to plan their holidays while opening up more opportunities to discover Asia by sea,” Chadha said.

He added that growing demand for premium and experiential travel was strengthening the fly-and-cruise proposition for Indian travellers.

Voyager of the Seas expands Asia-Pacific programme

Royal Caribbean’s wider Asia-Pacific deployment will also include Voyager of the Seas, which will operate selected sailings from Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo between January and April.

Its programme will include Singapore-Hong Kong itineraries, cruises from Hong Kong to Ishigaki and Okinawa, as well as longer voyages departing Tokyo during the cherry blossom season.

The deployment gives travellers the opportunity to combine cruise itineraries with seasonal travel experiences in Japan and other Asian destinations.

Bookings open for Indian travellers

Bookings for the extended Singapore season are scheduled to open August 19, through Tirun Travel Marketing and its network of travel partners in India.

The expanded programme comes as cruise tourism continues to gain traction among Indian holidaymakers, with Singapore serving as one of the region’s principal cruise hubs.

For Indian travellers, Royal Caribbean’s year-round Singapore deployment adds more choice across short regional cruises, while the wider Asia-Pacific programme creates opportunities to explore destinations across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Japan within a single holiday.
