TAFI convention 2013 to focus on ‘Navigating the Future’

tafiThe Travel Agents Association of India (TAFI) announced its forthcoming annual convention for the year 2013.  According to the press release issued by the association, the TAFI Convention 2013 will be held from 24 to 27 February 2013 at the “ICC – Durban – Convention Centre, Durban, South Africa.  The theme of the Convention is “Navigating the Future”.  The theme has been specially chosen taking into consideration the challenges currently being faced by the travel trade. Through the business sessions of the convention, the TAFI hopes to highlight and to bring together the trade fraternity to find solutions and alternatives to face the adversities and create better business models for the future.

According to the organizers, South Africa, the host country, and South African Airways – its airline partner, have played key roles in organizing the convention. In addition, Emirates and Indigo, who are its international and domestic airline partners,  and Tsogo Sun Group which is the official hotel of the convention, have also played greater roles with  special offers to the delegates of the convention.

Durban, in the province of Kwazulu-natal, being an interesting tourism destination also has a sizeable indian population who have ties with india over the last few centuries. Kwazulu-natal Tourism{ KZN } along with SATSA (The Tourism Services Association of South Africa) have played a vital role in ensuring the dream of bringing our two countries together for this glorious event.  According to the organizers, years of deliberation and proactive roles played by both i.e – KZN Tourism & TAFI will be converting this dream into a reality.
