Thailand is stepping up its international tourism promotion ahead of the first Tomorrowland Thailand, with the country’s culture, hospitality and creative industries taking centre stage at Tomorrowland Belgium.
Thailand is using the global reach of Tomorrowland to build anticipation for the festival’s first Asian edition, Tomorrowland Thailand, scheduled to take place in December 2026 near Pattaya.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) introduced the Amazing Thailand Sanctuary at Tomorrowland Belgium 2026, offering international festivalgoers a taste of Thai culture, traditions and destination experiences ahead of the landmark event in Thailand.
The initiative forms part of Thailand’s wider effort to position the country not only as a major leisure destination but also as a hub for culture, creativity, entertainment and international events.
Amazing Thailand Sanctuary brings Thai culture to Belgium
At Tomorrowland Belgium, the Amazing Thailand Sanctuary featured the Sabai Sabai Route, designed to take visitors on a cultural journey through different regions of Thailand.
The experience showcased traditions from Central, Northern and Northeastern Thailand through live dance performances, traditional drumming, cultural activities and storytelling.
Visitors were also introduced to Thai-inspired food and beverages, wellness experiences, incense blessings and gong ceremonies. A dedicated Mainstage viewpoint added to the festival experience, allowing visitors to connect Thailand’s cultural presentation with the wider Tomorrowland atmosphere.
Thousands of festivalgoers also received traditional blessing bracelets during the activation, providing a direct connection with an important element of Thai cultural tradition.
The presentation was designed to give international audiences a broader understanding of Thailand beyond its beaches and established tourism attractions, highlighting the country’s regional diversity and cultural heritage.
TAT highlights opportunities for Thai talent
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said the partnership represents an important opportunity to raise Thailand’s international profile while creating new opportunities for local talent and creative industries.
The collaboration, she said, reflects a shared long-term vision and is intended to strengthen Thailand’s position on the global events and entertainment map.
The TAT has also highlighted the potential economic impact of bringing Tomorrowland to Thailand, including opportunities for Thai artists, creative professionals, businesses and workers across multiple sectors.
The partnership is expected to give Thai talent greater international exposure while strengthening awareness of the country’s creative industries among a global audience.
Tomorrowland Thailand to debut near Pattaya
The inaugural Tomorrowland Thailand is scheduled for 11–13 December 2026 at Wisdom Valley near Pattaya, marking the Tomorrowland brand’s first edition in Asia.
The festival will introduce the global Consciencia theme and feature six immersive stages, combining Tomorrowland’s signature production and entertainment experience with elements inspired by Thailand’s culture and creative identity.
The arrival of the festival is expected to add a major international event to Thailand’s tourism calendar and could generate additional demand for accommodation, transportation, dining, entertainment and other visitor services in Pattaya and surrounding destinations.
For Thailand, the event represents more than the arrival of a globally recognised music festival. It provides an opportunity to introduce new international audiences to the country’s cultural experiences, hospitality and tourism offerings.
As preparations continue for the December debut, the cultural showcase at Tomorrowland Belgium is helping establish Thailand as the next destination in the festival’s global expansion while giving prospective visitors an early introduction to the experiences awaiting them.
