Vistara, India’s finest full-service carrier, has announced a significant network expansion with the addition of 62 new flights to and from Mumbai and Delhi. These new flights represent an over 50% increase in the size of the airline’s network, with ~170 flights a day across 24 destinations operated by a fleet of 23 Airbus A320 and 6 Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.

Further, celebrating the network expansion and the season, the airline today announced a 48-hour only ‘Grand Vistara Monsoon Sale’ covering the entire network and all three classes of travel, with all-in fares starting at Rs.1,299 for Economy Class, Rs.1,999 for Premium Economy, and Rs. 4,999 for Business class.

Bookings under the sale will be open for 48 hours only, starting 0001 hrs of 18 June 2019 and ending 2359 hrs of 19 June 2019, for travel between 3 July 2019 and 26 September 2019. A minimum of 15 days advance purchase is required for Economy and Premium Economy Class bookings, and a minimum of three days advance purchase required for Business Class.

With the addition of 62 new flights, Vistara will now operate direct flights from Mumbai to 10 cities, adding Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai and Varanasi to the six other cities it already flies to from Mumbai, namely Amritsar, Bengaluru, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Additionally, Vistara has increased its daily frequency on the Mumbai – Kolkata sector from 1x to 3x; Mumbai – Goa from 1x to 2x; Mumbai – Bengaluru from 5x to 6x; Mumbai – Hyderabad from 1x to 3x; Delhi – Chandigarh from 2x to 4x; Delhi – Guwahati from 1x to 2x; Delhi – Amritsar from 1x to 2x; Delhi – Kolkata from 3x to 4x; and Delhi – Bengaluru from 5x to 6x daily.

Sanjiv Kapoor, Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer, Vistara, said, “Our frequent fliers have often expressed their wish to see Vistara add more flights and frequencies from Mumbai and Delhi to key destinations, and we’re happy that we are now able to announce these new flights and additional frequencies. These new flights also help us meet peak season travel demand amidst the prevailing capacity crunch in the market, especially in the full-service space.”

Vistara will operate aircraft on some of the new routes in a different cabin configuration from its current Airbus A320 fleet. The airline’s Boeing 737-800NG aircraft will operate in a two-class configuration of 12 Business Class and 156 Economy seats. The new Airbus A320neo aircraft will operate in an all-economy class configuration of 180 seats on select routes only for which the demand for premium cabins is lower.

Mr. Kapoor added, “Customers will enjoy the same high standard full service experience with the same services and facilities that they have come to expect from Vistara, regardless of which aircraft one is flying. We have earned the reputation of being India’s most-loved airline, providing an unmatched flying experience. Everything we do is designed to maintain and improve our differentiation that has won us so many loyal customers, regardless of which aircraft or route one flies.”

Commenting on the special sale fares, Mr Kapoor said, “Vistara does not have such sales too often. The ‘Grand Vistara Monsoon Sale’ is one of the rare opportunities for travellers to enjoy amazing discounted fares on India’s best airline and see for themselves why it is winning so many hearts and awards.”

Bookings will open at 0001 hrs, 18 June 2019, on www.airvistara.com, Vistara’s iOS and Android mobile apps, at Vistara’s Airport Ticket Offices (ATOs), and through Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and travel agents. Bookings for this sale will not be available through the Vistara Call Centre. Vistara’s GDS partners include Abacus, Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport enable customers to book via all major channels. Direct channel discounts, corporate discounts or soft benefits will not apply on the promo level fares, and no vouchers can be clubbed with these fares. As always, fares depend on route and distance travelled, and seats available on sale are limited and available strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

As the highest-rated Indian airline on Skytrax and TripAdvisor, and winner of several ‘Best Airline’ awards, Vistara has consistently raised the bar for operations and service delivery in the Indian aviation industry in a short span of time. With the new aircraft and fight additions, the airline connects 24 destinations, operates approximately 170 flights a day with a fleet of 23 Airbus A320 and 6 Boeing 737 aircraft, and has flown more than 15 million customers since starting operations in 2015.
