Vistara has resumed in flight meal service on its domestic routes, following relaxations in regulatory guidelines issued by the government.

The Indian full-service carrier is serving pre-packed snacks/meals and pre-packed beverages as per the standard operating procedures issued by the aviation ministry.

In the business class cabin, the option of non-vegetarian and vegetarian menus are offered as per meal types (breakfast, refreshment, lunch and dinner).

In flights with a duration of 90-minutes and above, cut fruits, salad, dessert, bread, and a heated meal are being served in disposable, pre-packed containers.

On flights with less than 90-minute duration, a cold meal with some accompaniments are offered.

Pre-packaged water, juice, aerated beverages, tea and coffee, including Starbucks on applicable sectors, are available in all flights. They are pre-poured in the galley.

Passengers in the premium economy cabin are offered a choice between non-vegetarian and vegetarian heated meals. The menu features sandwiches, wraps and salad, served in disposable, pre-packed containers along with pre-packed juice and water.

All economy passengers, including Economy Lite, are served a vegetarian composite menu which includes sandwiches, wraps and salad along with pre-packed water.

Peri-peri spiced chicken breast, Waldorf salad and truffle pastry are some delicacies available onboard Vistara flights.

“We are taking every measure to ensure the highest level of hygiene and safety of all onboard, such as a fresh set of gloves for meal services and setup of tables and cutlery beforehand. “However, in an effort to minimise the touchpoints and interaction between crew and passengers there will be limited onboard services available,” the Tata-SIA carrier said in an official release. airvistara.com
