Set on a scenic riverbank and just minutes from the iconic Bund and Shanghai City Centre, The Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai sets a new standard for luxury accommodation in China’s most cosmopolitan city. As part of the visionary SUHE CREEK project, the Hotel features sweeping views of the Bund and of Pudong’s dramatic skyline.
Balancing nature, contemporary design and heritage architecture, the property combines a 48-floor tower, a majestically restored Chamber of Commerce Shanghai building completed in 1916 and lush gardens which surround the whole area.

Occupying the top eight floors of a 48-story tower that is also home to The Bvlgari Residences, the Hotel includes 82 Rooms—19 of which are exquisite Suites- offering intimate ambience and personalised service with an extraordinary design.
Poised to be one of the city’s premier destinations, the Hotel is also home to the rooftop Il Ristorante – Niko Romito and Il Bar, which are destined to become some of the most fashionable venues in Shanghai, La Terrazza on the rooftop, offering breathtaking views of The Bund and Pudong, and the Bao Li Xuan restaurant, serving exquisite Cantonese classics and local Shanghainese specialties in the historical atmosphere of the Chamber of Commerce Shanghai building adjacent to the Hotel tower.

A 2,000-square-metre BVLGARI Spa and fitness centre, and a glamorous 500-square-meter BVLGARI Ballroom with triple-height ceilings complete the hotel’s features. As for the other Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, the renowned Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, signed the hotel’s interior design and created a glamorous contemporary masterpiece by blending the distinctive Italian refinement of Bvlgari with rich layers of Shanghai history.

SERVICES AND FACILITIES
IL BAR
Sharing the 47th floor with Il Ristorante–Niko Romito, Il Bar shimmers like a jewel against the panoramic backdrop of the Bund riverfront and Pudong skyline. Il Bar’s centrepiece oval counter, inspired by Rome’s famed Fontana della Barcaccia, has become an icon of the Bvlgari Hotels collection and is reimagined in each property with different materials.

For Shanghai, the bar was made from hand-hammered bronze topped with mirrored steel, recalling the expert craftsmanship of the Roman jeweller. Its water-like texture references Suhe Creek visible through the windows. Before or after dinner, guests can repose in style courtesy of sleek chrome and black leather furnishings. An even more dramatic panorama awaits on the private outdoor terrace, celebrating sumptuous Shanghai views in the open air.

THE APERITIF
Il Bar’s menu mixes classic Italian cocktails, fine wines, teas and snacks throughout the day and night. The Bvlgari Aperitivo, made famous by the Milan property, is one of the most cherished Italian traditions and a unique experience to try at The Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai. At sunset hours, every drink ordered is paired with fresh canapés, enjoyed either at the oval bar or on the outdoor terrace overlooking the river.

IL RISTORANTE – NIKO ROMITO
Echoing the glamorous design of its namesakes in Beijing and Dubai, Il Ristorante – Niko Romito celebrates the rich heritage of Italy from the pinnacle 47th floor of The Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai, showcasing breathtaking top-of-the-city views.

IL GIARDINO
In front of the Lobby Lounge, Mediterranean-styled Il Giardino is a perfect spot to indulge in authentic Italian gelato or a selection of wines. The Italian garden is also available for private parties and events. With an abundance of lush greenery, the romantic setting is reminiscent of the Italian garden at the original Bvlgari Hotel in Milan.

An exciting partnership between Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts and Chef Niko Romito, one of the world’s most celebrated chefs with 3 Michelin stars for his Reale restaurant in Abruzzo – brings Romito’s carefully curated canon of contemporary Italian cooking to Shanghai for the first time. With a focus on purity and simplicity, the gastronomic approach combines the finest Italian and locally sourced ingredients with time-tested and innovative techniques.

An extensive selection of Italian and international labels are on the wine list, including organic and biodynamic wines and rare vintage champagnes.
Open for lunch and dinner, Il Ristorante – Niko Romito’s conjures a distinctive Roman spirit from its lofty perch above the city—making it an immersive and elegant dining experience that exudes Bvlgari’s signature savoir faire.

THE BVLGARI SPA
Enjoying a serene riverside location amid private parks and gardens, The Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai’s 2,000-square-metre spa and fitness centre is a harmonious retreat to balance the body, mind and spirit in elegant Italian style.
A highlight of the Bvlgari experience, the Spa offers best in class beauty treatments using La Mer and Amala products, alongside rituals inspired by traditional Chinese medicine.

The BVLGARI Spa features eight spa treatment rooms, including the 68-square-metre Couples’ Spa Suite replete with a Roman-inspired marble hot tub and a 68-square-metre Deluxe Couples’ Suite where guests can enjoy the luxury of a private sauna.

The centrepiece of the Spa is a 25-metre indoor heated swimming pool, surrounded by statuesque columns recalling the grandeur of a Roman bath. Long strips of louvered teak line the ceiling while a ‘skylight wall’ incorporates natural sunshine to nourish the tropical interior garden.

DESTINATION
The Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai is located on the banks of Suzhou Creek, just minutes from the iconic Bund and eight minutes from the famous museums of People’s Square, yet enjoys the tranquility of a neighborhood filled with private gardens, historic buildings and art galleries.

Occupying the uppermost eight floors of a 48-story tower set within the SUHE CREEK project by OCT, it looks out onto some of the city’s most dramatic views including the Bund and the skyline.

Cosmopolitan Shanghai’s photogenic landscape presents dramatic juxtapositions at every turn. Known as the Pearl of the Orient since the 1930s, this is a place where heritage meets futurism, and timeless customs blend with global innovation. In traditional lanes, narrow houses crouch in the shadows of cavernous malls, and in its parks elderly taiji practitioners carve shapes in the air while young urbanites mingle with the international jet-set.

MEETINGS AND EVENTS
When the historic Chamber of Commerce Shanghai was originally launched in 1916, it quickly became the preferred meeting place of Shanghai’s elite for banquets and social gatherings. With the opening of The Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai, the Chamber of Commerce Shanghai will once again be home to the city’s most dazzling fashion shows, society dinners, celebrations, exhibitions and meetings.
The crown jewel of the property is the 500-square-metre BVLGARI Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 500 guests for cocktails and 300 diners for a banquet. Guests enter the grand 127sqm foyer decorated with original Chinese floor mosaics and coffered ceilings supported by a procession of vaulted columns. A contemporary cocktail bar at one end of the foyer is ideal for pre-function socialising and break-out refreshments.

For exclusive board meetings or private events, the main tower of The Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai offers additional event spaces imbued with contemporary Italian refinement. On the second floor with large windows overlooking the garden, we will have two boardrooms, Boardroom I: 41sqm, Boardroom II: 22sqm, both seat up to 10 guests. While a 160sqm Meeting Room with 90sqm foyer hosts banquets for up to 80 people and cocktails for up to 250 guests. The space is divisible into two sections for more intimate occasions.

Each unique venue is equipped with multi-functional facilities and the latest audio-visual technology, including teleconferencing facilities. Il Giardino’s garden pavilion and La Terrazza’s rooftop lounge may also be reserved for private parties.

WEDDINGS AND BANQUETS
The most important day of one’s life deserves an exquisite setting.

The former Chamber of Commerce Shanghai building, located next to the hotel, houses the 500-square-metre BVLGARI Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 300 guests for a wedding banquet or up to 500 guests for cocktails.
