The Decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan from July 4, introduces new regulations to further optimize the order of entry of foreign citizens to the country.

An electronic visa is issued for a period of 30 days in the territory of Uzbekistan with a single entry.

The issued electronic visa is valid for 90 days from the date of its issuance.
A time of two days has been given for the consideration of applications for registration and issuance of an electronic visa which, excludes the day the application was filed. Therefore, the application for processing an electronic visa must be submitted at least three working days before the planned date of a trip to Uzbekistan.

The issued electronic visa would be sent to the e-mail address of the foreign citizen indicated when applying to the official web portal of the “E-VISA.UZ” system. The portal operates in Uzbek, English, Russian and other languages.
It also provides the information on the status of the application and the issued electronic visa, on the basis of a unique identification number assigned to the appeal.

The consular fee for processing and issuing an e-visa is 20 USD.
Foreign citizens, aged under 16 may enter and stay in Uzbekistan for the validity period of the entry visa of the person who is accompanying them-provided they hold an international passport or a biometric travel document and are accompanied by their legal representatives.

But it would not last longer than 90 days from the date of entry into Uzbekistan.
Should foreign citizens reach the age of 16 during their stay in Uzbekistan, an exit visa shall be issued by the migration and citizenship registration offices within the established procedure.

The procedure for registering a group visa is similar to the procedure for an individual visa.

In the process of forming an application for an electronic visa, the authorization of the applicant can be carried out by using an electronic address (email) or other identifiers (mobile phone number, account in social networks).

From July 15, the 5-day visa-free transit procedure will take effect for the citizens of 101 countries, including India at the Uzbek airports, provided they hold an air-ticket to a third country, and the carrier must provide information about passengers to the border authorities of Uzbekistan.
