Cordelia Cruises is set to expand its presence in India’s rapidly developing cruise market with the introduction of Cordelia Sky, which will begin its inaugural India season with a sailing from Mumbai on October 23, 2026.
The arrival of the new vessel represents a significant expansion of Cordelia Cruises’ capacity and itinerary network, with the ship scheduled to operate a combination of domestic cruises from Mumbai and international voyages linking India with destinations across Southeast Asia.
At 258 metres in length and 77,104 gross tonnes, Cordelia Sky can accommodate 2,004 guests at double occupancy across 1,002 staterooms. The ship is designed to combine resort-style accommodation with a broad range of dining, entertainment, recreation and wellness experiences.
Extensive Dining and Entertainment
Cordelia Sky will offer 10 dining venues, featuring a combination of Indian and international cuisines as well as buffet and poolside options. The ship will cater particularly to Indian travellers, with pure vegetarian and Jain dining options available across its venues.
An additional 11 bars and lounges will provide spaces for socialising and evening entertainment.
The entertainment programme will include live music, games, activities and stage performances, centred around the 930-seat Marquee Theatre, which will host a flagship production as well as other large-scale shows and variety performances.
Sports, Wellness and Family Facilities
The ship has been designed to offer extensive leisure facilities, including two swimming pools, five hot tubs and more than 30,000 square feet of open-deck space.
Guests will be able to take part in activities including pickleball and cricket at sea, while a fitness centre will cater to those seeking more active recreation.
A dedicated spa will offer treatments along with steam, sauna and salon services.
Families are also a key focus of the onboard offering, with dedicated children’s facilities and supervised activities, while teenagers will have their own social space.
Five Accommodation Categories
Cordelia Sky’s 1,002 staterooms comprise a range of accommodation categories designed for different types of travellers.
The ship has 429 Interior staterooms and 313 Ocean View staterooms, alongside 245 Mini Suites, 11 Penthouse Suites and four Chairman’s Suites.
Mini Suites provide additional living space and private balconies, while the Chairman’s Suites are positioned at the top end of the accommodation offering. These suites feature separate living, dining and bedroom areas, private balconies with hot tubs, and dedicated butler and concierge services.
Mumbai to Offer a Range of Cruise Experiences
Following its October debut, Cordelia Sky will operate a selection of itineraries from Mumbai, ranging from short breaks to longer coastal holidays.
The programme includes two-night weekend cruises, three-night Goa weekend sailings, four-night Lakshadweep cruises and five-night Goa and Lakshadweep itineraries.
The range is intended to appeal to different segments of the Indian leisure market, including families, couples, groups and travellers seeking short celebrations or weekend getaways.
Southeast Asia Connections from Chennai
Cordelia Sky will also broaden the international cruise options available from India with seven-night Southeast Asia itineraries from Chennai.
The voyages connect India with destinations including Phuket, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, while the reverse itinerary operates from Singapore to Chennai.
Cordelia Cruises is already promoting Southeast Asia sailings connecting Chennai and Singapore, with itineraries featuring Phuket, Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur.
The international programme gives Indian travellers an alternative way to explore Southeast Asia while combining multiple destinations within a single cruise holiday.

The October 23 sailing marks the beginning of Cordelia Sky’s first India season and represents another step in Cordelia Cruises’ fleet expansion strategy.
