In a significant move to enhance Korea’s visibility among Indian travelers, EaseMyTrip has entered into a strategic partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO). The two organizations formalized their collaboration on February 19, 2025, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a concerted effort to position Korea as a key outbound destination for Indian tourists.

The signing ceremony, attended by senior representatives from both organizations, including Mr. Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director for India & SAARC Countries, Korea Tourism Organization, highlighted the commitment to fostering stronger tourism ties between India and Korea.

This partnership aims to elevate Korea as a top travel destination for Indian tourists by offering a diverse mix of cultural, natural, and adventure experiences. The collaboration will leverage EaseMyTrip’s digital reach, industry expertise, and extensive customer base to engage Indian travelers and boost awareness of Korea’s rich cultural heritage and modern cityscapes.

As part of the agreement, EaseMyTrip will create a dedicated Korea microsite on its platform, showcasing curated travel itineraries, must-visit attractions, and travel tips tailored specifically to Indian travelers. The site will be complemented by destination-specific blogs, engaging video content, and social media campaigns, highlighting the best that Korea has to offer. Additionally, both organizations will collaborate on co-funded marketing campaigns, ensuring wider visibility and greater engagement in the Indian market.

One of the key focuses of this partnership will be expanding promotional efforts into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India. As international travel interest continues to rise in smaller cities, EaseMyTrip aims to tap into these emerging markets, ensuring that more Indian travelers from non-metro areas discover Korea as a viable international destination.

In a bid to further refine their promotional strategies, EaseMyTrip will provide KTO with valuable data insights on Indian traveler preferences, booking trends, and peak travel periods. This data-driven approach will help both organizations optimize their marketing strategies to ensure Korea’s appeal continues to grow within the Indian market.

Mr. Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director at KTO, commented, “India is an important and rapidly growing outbound market for Korea. Through our collaboration with EaseMyTrip, we aim to showcase Korea’s unique combination of tradition and modernity, making it an accessible and exciting travel choice for Indian travelers.”

Mr. Rikant Pittie, CEO and Co-Founder of EaseMyTrip, added, “Korea’s vibrant history, breathtaking landscapes, and dynamic city life make it a highly attractive destination for Indian tourists. This partnership allows us to offer exclusive travel packages and seamless booking experiences, ensuring that Korea becomes a top choice for Indian outbound travel.”

With this collaboration, EaseMyTrip and Korea Tourism Organization are poised to redefine the travel experience for Indian tourists visiting Korea, strengthening cultural ties and promoting seamless travel for both nations.
