B2B travel platform adds rail options across the Middle East, Asia and North America

RezLive.com is broadening its rail proposition beyond Europe, adding a new selection of rail services across the Middle East, Asia and North America for travel agents and other trade partners.

The move marks a significant expansion of the platform’s rail offering, which has historically focused on European train journeys. According to the September 8 announcement, the enlarged portfolio will cover a mix of high-speed rail, airport links, intercity services and urban networks, allowing travel professionals to incorporate rail more easily into international itineraries.

RezLive.com is the B2B travel booking platform of Travel Designer Group, providing travel professionals with access to accommodation, sightseeing, transfers, rail, cruises and car rentals. Its current corporate website positions the platform as a global travel-distribution system serving trade partners rather than consumers.

From Saudi Arabia to Qatar

In the Middle East, the new portfolio includes Saudi Arabia’s Haramain High-Speed Railway, one of the region’s most important passenger rail links.

The 453-kilometre line connects Makkah and Madinah, with stations at Jeddah, King Abdulaziz International Airport and King Abdullah Economic City. Saudi government sources confirm that the service operates at speeds of up to 300 kilometres per hour and provides an important connection between air travel and the country’s two holy cities.

The expansion also includes Doha Metro in Qatar, giving travel partners another option for moving visitors through the Qatari capital and connecting with Hamad International Airport.

New airport and intercity links across Asia

Asia represents another major part of the expansion.

Malaysia’s KLIA Ekspres links Kuala Lumpur International Airport with KL Sentral, with the airport-to-city journey taking around 28 minutes. The operator currently runs services every 20 minutes, making it a practical airport-transfer product for international itineraries.

In South Korea, RezLive.com is adding AREX, the Airport Railroad connecting Incheon International Airport with Seoul. Seoul’s municipal tourism information confirms that AREX provides direct rail access between Incheon and destinations in the capital, with Seoul Station accessible in about an hour on the all-stop service.

The portfolio also extends to Vietnam Railways, opening access to domestic rail journeys connecting major destinations including Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City.

North American rail joins the portfolio

The expansion reaches North America through two contrasting rail products.

In Canada, Union Pearson Express provides a direct airport connection between Toronto Pearson International Airport and downtown Toronto’s Union Station. The airport currently states that the journey takes about 28 minutes, with trains operating every 15 minutes.

In the United States, the portfolio includes Brightline, Florida’s privately operated intercity passenger rail service. Its network currently links Miami with Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and Orlando, giving travel professionals an alternative to road transfers on several important Florida travel corridors.

Rail becomes part of the wider travel itinerary

The strategy reflects a broader shift in how rail is being positioned within travel distribution. Rather than treating trains solely as long-distance alternatives to air travel, the expanded RezLive.com portfolio combines airport transfers, urban transportation and intercity journeys.

For travel agents and tour operators, that creates opportunities to build rail into multi-city holidays, pilgrimage journeys, city breaks and leisure itineraries without relying exclusively on separate booking channels.

Jaal Shah, Founder of RezLive.com and Group Managing Director of Travel Designer Group, said the company’s objective has been to give travel partners broader travel content through a single B2B platform.

“Rail is becoming an increasingly important part of the traveller journey,” Shah said in the announcement, adding that the company saw an opportunity to take its rail proposition beyond Europe.

He described the wider network as another step towards making RezLive.com a more comprehensive global travel-distribution platform.

A broader distribution play

The rail expansion fits into RezLive.com’s wider strategy of consolidating multiple travel products within one trade-facing system. The company’s current platform promotes hotels, sightseeing, transfers, rail, cruises and car rentals, while its corporate information says the business serves travel professionals across international markets.

The company says further additions are planned, with more countries, routes and rail operators expected to be added to the portfolio.

The timing is also notable. As international travel itineraries become increasingly multi-modal, the ability to combine flights, airport trains and intercity rail within a single distribution ecosystem is becoming an increasingly valuable proposition for travel sellers.
