The funding will support travel technology development, direct supplier partnerships and destination operations as the company targets growing demand for international travel from India’s emerging markets.

TravClan, a business-to-business (B2B) travel technology platform, has raised US$5 million from Flipkart and investment firm August One, alongside debt financing from Trifecta Capital. The company plans to use the capital to strengthen its global travel supply network, advance artificial intelligence (AI)-powered booking solutions and expand destination operations in key international markets.

The funding announcement was reported by Moneycontrol on October 22, 2026. Flipkart had previously announced a minority stake investment in TravClan on October 5, highlighting the partnership’s focus on expanding international holiday offerings through Cleartrip and Flipkart Travel.

With the latest funding, TravClan’s total capital raised exceeds US$11 million, according to the company’s announcement.

Strengthening the travel distribution ecosystem

TravClan’s strategy centres on providing travel agents and businesses with an integrated technology and supply infrastructure for selling and managing international trips. Its platform connects travel sellers with flights, hotels, activities, holiday packages and destination services, helping simplify processes that can otherwise require multiple booking systems and supplier relationships.

The company directly contracts with hotels and activity providers and operates destination teams across Southeast Asia, West Asia and India. This model is intended to improve visibility into pricing and availability while supporting service delivery throughout the customer journey.

For travel agencies, particularly smaller businesses, access to competitive international inventory and reliable destination support can be important in developing affordable, customised holiday packages.

AI to streamline itinerary planning

A key area of investment will be the development of AI-powered tools designed to help travel agents build, price and modify complex international itineraries more efficiently.

International trip planning frequently involves coordinating accommodation, activities, transport, payments and customer requests. Changes to travel dates, hotel preferences or itinerary components can add to the workload for agents managing multiple suppliers.

TravClan aims to use AI alongside its supplier network and booking infrastructure to reduce the time required to prepare and revise itineraries. The broader objective is to move beyond conventional booking software towards systems capable of automating more of the work involved in delivering a trip.

Arun Bagaria, Co-founder and CEO of TravClan, said the business had evolved from solving booking challenges for independent travel agents into developing a broader infrastructure encompassing direct supply relationships, technology and destination operations.

He added that the company’s ambition was to provide an underlying platform on which travel businesses could build their operations, rather than requiring each business to develop its own technology and supplier infrastructure.

Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities emerge as a growth market

India’s outbound leisure travel market presents an important opportunity for the company, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where demand for international holidays is expanding beyond the country’s largest metropolitan centres.

According to company figures cited by Moneycontrol, more than 15,000 travel agents across India use TravClan’s platform to book flights, hotels, activities and destination services. Approximately 40% of the company’s business originates from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

For these markets, technology-enabled distribution can help travel agents access a wider range of international products without independently building extensive supplier networks or investing in complex booking infrastructure.

TravClan’s partnership with Flipkart also creates a route to broaden the availability of international holiday packages through Cleartrip and Flipkart Travel. Flipkart said its investment would help expand its international travel supply, holiday offerings and on-ground customer support.

Capital to support the next phase of growth

The new funding is expected to support deeper relationships with international hotels and activity providers, further development of booking technology and AI capabilities, and expansion of destination operations.

Sahil Kukreja, Vice President at Trifecta Capital, said the company had developed a capital-efficient model by investing in supply and distributing products through travel agents, including those serving underserved markets.

The investment comes as travel technology businesses seek to combine digital distribution with stronger supplier relationships and operational support. For travel sellers, the ability to offer competitive pricing, customise itineraries and manage changes efficiently is increasingly important in a market where travellers expect more personalised experiences.

TravClan’s next phase will focus on scaling this combination of technology, supply and destination fulfilment to serve travel agencies and larger travel platforms. Its progress will depend on how effectively it expands its international network while maintaining competitive pricing and consistent service delivery.
