Centara Hotels & Resorts has launched The Centara Collection, a curated portfolio of distinctive, experiential properties designed to immerse guests in the essence of their destinations. This new collection elevates the previous Centara Boutique Collection, offering a refined selection of hotels and resorts that celebrate individuality, authenticity, and creativity.

The Centara Collection, with its refreshed visual identity and a focus on unique experiences, caters to travellers seeking immersive stays that reflect the spirit of their surroundings. Each property within the collection is chosen for its exceptional design, whether through striking interiors, innovative architecture, or artistic expression, as well as its commitment to showcasing local culture and heritage.

“The Centara Collection is about inspiring individuality,” said Ron Cusiter, Executive Vice President – Commercial at Centara Hotels & Resorts. “Today’s travellers want to experience more than just a destination—they want to connect with it. Through thoughtful design, creativity, and the warmth of our Thai hospitality, we aim to offer our guests a true sense of place that goes beyond the ordinary.”

The first international property in The Centara Collection is the newly renamed Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa Maldives (formerly Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives). Located in the Maldives, this award-winning resort offers a seamless blend of Thai-Maldivian hospitality with world-class facilities. Guests can enjoy overwater and beachfront villas, explore the region’s pristine reefs, or dive into the underwater world of the Indian Ocean—experiences that perfectly align with the collection’s focus on authentic, nature-driven stays.

Joining Machchafushi in The Centara Collection are two standout Thai properties. Roukh Kiri Khao Yai is a boutique resort set in the rolling hills of Northeast Thailand, overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Khao Yai National Park. With just 13 rustic, barn-inspired villas, each featuring private plunge pools and mountain views, the resort provides an intimate connection to nature. Meanwhile, Varivana Resort Koh Phangan offers a stylish retreat in Southern Thailand, where the mountains meet the sea. The resort features 39 rooms, expansive private balconies, and a stunning rooftop saltwater infinity pool with panoramic views.

Looking ahead, Centara plans to expand The Centara Collection with more one-of-a-kind properties in extraordinary locations both in Thailand and internationally.

“The Centara Collection represents our commitment to offering unique, tailored experiences that engage the senses and immerse guests in the local culture,” said Cusiter. “With this new collection, we are excited to take our guests on journeys that celebrate both the destination and the people who make it special.”
