Tourism Malaysia launches Mega Sale Campaign 2025 to support inbound tourism, retail activity, and cultural engagement ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026.

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – The Malaysia Mega Sale Campaign (MMSC) 2025 has officially begun, with activities running nationwide until 31 July 2025. Organised by Tourism Malaysia in collaboration with Mastercard, the initiative is designed to boost both domestic spending and international arrivals as part of broader efforts to prepare for Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026).

This year’s edition features participation from more than 100 industry stakeholders and includes over 150 activities that connect retail, hospitality, entertainment, wellness, and air travel experiences.

  • Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH)
  • Malaysian Association of Theme Parks & Family Attractions (MATFA)

Tourism development objectives

The Malaysia Mega Sale Campaign 2025 is part of Tourism Malaysia’s strategy to support tourism recovery and elevate Malaysia’s appeal as a year-round destination for experiential travel. It also supports cross-sector value creation by linking travel with leisure, shopping, and cultural programming.

For travel trade professionals, MMSC 2025 offers a seasonal touchpoint to design packages that integrate local experiences, regional connectivity, and urban discovery. The campaign is particularly relevant for agencies focusing on mid-year travel, urban tourism, and cultural circuits.

Tourism Malaysia encourages industry partners to incorporate MMSC 2025 into their marketing and itinerary planning, helping to deliver richer experiences to travellers while strengthening Malaysia’s tourism ecosystem ahead of 2026.
